iPad 2 is ready for release

Earlier this week, the guys at Apple sent an enigmatic invitation to an event on March 2. Not that it was much of a secret — the Cupertino, California- based technology giant is launching the iPad 2.

The Apple iPad’s version 1 has been such a phenomenal success (more than 90 per cent of all the tablets sold in the market at Apple iPads) that the iPad 2 is being welcomed with open arms.

There are rumours upon rumours about what the iPad2 will have — right from how it will have cameras both at the front and the back, how it will have a USB slot, how it will have a higher resolution screen and how it will have thinner than the previous iPad with elegant contours much like the iPhone4.

This is what leading tech blog Engadget says: “ We're hearing it's most likely a thinner, specbumped variation of the original iPad with a screen size and resolution identical to the current model. More RAM (512MB) and a more powerful CPU (the A5) are expected as well. It's also a pretty safe bet the tablet will be sporting at least one camera up front — though if some of those case mockups we've seen tell us anything, expect a shooter around back too.

” The Unofficial Apple Web Log says: “ Apple is the uncontested leader in product messaging for tech, and timing is a big part of that. If Apple is going to announce an iPad 2, why wouldn't it be right when everyone's focused on tablet software?”
