Promise Day of the Valentine week brings love in the time of celebration
The best part about this Valentine’s Day is — surprise, surprise — being single. Of course, if you are one half of a couple there are many romantic options for you across town. But if you are single, then this Valentine’s weekend is probably the best time to hook up!
Like the Stupid Cupid party at Olive in Qutub which is going to give a chance for singles to mingle. Not only will guests be given eye masks to keep their identity a secret — unless you do find the one you want to reveal yourself to — there will also be message boards for people to leave romantic messages.
Being in love with just yourself is also the theme of the Anti-Valentine party at The Lalit. Celebrating singlehood is an all-night party (from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.) on February 12 with some great musical performances too.
There are many new things for couples to do too this Valentine weekend. Ballroom dance instructors will teach couples how to do the Foxtrot on the weekend before February 14, with an assurance that by the end of the two sessions, you will be able to have that fairy tale romantic dance with your beloved.
To make sure that nothing is lacking, cake shop and chocolate boutique Two Little Birds is offering The Birdsong — a cake that boasts of 10 aphrodisiacs and promises to make this an unforgettable Valentine’s Day.
But if you do not have someone to share the sinful cake with, then there are cakes to brighten up the singles too. The Single’s Club has ingredients that are known to be antidepressants and are the perfect way to end a single’s party.
But if you are in love, then there can be no better time to shower romance — and money — on your beloved. Perhaps the most exclusive table in town is up for grabs at the rooftop terrace at Olive at Qutub. With a multi-course romantic candle light dinner, flowing wine, a bonfire, a personal butler, and a gift hamper from a spa under the shadow, you will wish you had someone to share all this with!
